I’m Cody Walker— co-founder of NBE Wizard and a licensed funeral director, embalmer, and funeral service educator who has spent my career serving families with compassion and preparing future funeral service professionals for success. Over the years, I’ve learned that the path to the National Board Exam can feel overwhelming—but it doesn’t have to.

We created NBE Wizard to bridge the gap between classroom learning and exam day confidence. Drawing from my own experiences in funeral service and years of teaching, I built NBE Wizard as a place where students can find clear explanations, smart study tools, and real-world insights—all designed to help them practice smarter, study stronger, and pass confidently.

My family and I live near Fort Worth, Texas. I love spending time with my wife and two sons, coaching little league baseball, and football under the Friday night lights. I serve as the Dean of Assessment for Pierce Mortuary Colleges and consult as an expert witness in funeral service related litigation.

I constantly seek new ways to make funeral service education engaging, approachable, and inspiring. With NBE Wizard, you’re not just preparing for an exam—you’re building the foundation for a meaningful career in service to others.

Hi, I’m Robert Register — co-founder of NBE Wizard and a passionate advocate for helping future funeral professionals succeed on the National Board Exam. With years of experience in technical training and process improvement, I have helped build NBE Wizard to make studying smarter, not harder. My approach combines real-world knowledge with effective learning tools so students can focus on what matters most — mastering the material and building confidence for exam day.

Outside of developing NBE Wizard, I’m a problem-solver at heart, with a background in planning, systems optimization, and creating practical tools that make complex challenges easier to tackle. I believe in clear guidance, simple solutions, and empowering others to achieve their goals.
